Reflection

This painting was also inspired by a photo of tulips, the colour palette was so peaceful, calm and inspiring. I had no idea what this painting would be when I started. As I painted I felt a calmness, peace and tranquillity and it reminded me why I love to paint women with their backs to the viewer. It is a reminder of the possibilities stretching out before us. Looking forward to the future and what is yet to be. Looking out over a view and relishing the beauty. They are paintings of vision, of the future, of peace and reflection. In a world filled with so much pain, devastation, heartache. We need to be reminded of peace, possibilities and hope.
